Quality Rings and Quality Service!

Why Cobalt Free is Important

All of our rings are Cobalt Free! Tungsten Carbide is a powder in it's basic form. During the manufacturing process, which includes applying great pressure and heat, a binder is used such as cobalt or nickel to hold the material together. All of our rings use a nickel binder. The presence of cobalt binder may cause a serious reaction between the cobalt and the natural oils on human skin. Skin oils cause the cobalt to leach from the material. This reaction can cause irritation of the skin and permanent staining of the jewelry itself. The oxidation spots resulting on the jewelry can't be removed. Low quality manufacturers use cobalt as the binder of their Tungsten Carbide rings. Beware that these rings are out there and avoid them!
